I made these bags four years ago and I always enjoy looking at older work and getting inspiration from the prints and bag design. I have sketchbooks filled with so many ideas and a large body of older work that it would probably take a few lifetimes to make and rethink. hmmm... maybe it's time to get some help.

part of the reason our work is made in-house is because my ideas and patterns change often. on the surface I may seem very decisive, but really - I have such a hard time making certain decisions. if I were to have 200 metres printed of one pattern I would think to myself - "what do I do with all this fabric in this pattern?" - I am slowly getting over that feeling since I feel that I would benefit from having some things sourced out to others to make. I am working on this and will fill you in when it develops.

Creative people are almost always perfectionists :) I'm very much the same- I find it hard to translate my ideas into something practical! You're clearly very talented- whether you collaborate with someone else or work on a project independently I'm sure you'll come up with something special :)
ReplyDeleteI am always amazed by your production speed. So, despite of your indecisiveness, you can still create. And a lot!
ReplyDeleteI am also indecisive, but it often makes me create less ....
Love the bags.
deborah would adore that top bag , it is in her favorite color and you know how I love red.
ReplyDeleteYou are so amazing. I would love to browse your archives one day. If I had 200 meters of your fabric I might sew myself a bookhou tent. Now wouldn't that be a most pretty sight.
the PUCKERED bag!!! It's back.
ReplyDeletedang, I love red, and I love linen too ! And Margie's suggestion for the Bookhou tent is such a darn smart one !!! oxoxo

ReplyDeleteColors wow. Ana don't be afraid to ask for help!
ReplyDeleteI still adore my dots bag, and was so happy to see it here on your blog. I hope you find the right person to outsource to. I think you'll enjoy the freedom it gives you to try out a lot of new things. Exciting!
