hi everyone,
what great way to end the week but with a GIVEAWAY!!
I'm sure a lot of you who read my blog know who geninne is and you also might know that she recently came out with a book called making an impression - this book was put together by geninne, the projects and the photography. the book is one of those books you pour into page by page and the beauty is in how it's an extension of geninne's work and her blog. the projects are all printing/stamping based with combinations of other mediums. whether you are a long time maker or someone just getting started and wanting a book to inspire, this book will do the job. I like how geninne's projects in the book vary in skill level so you'll want to return to it again and again. and the best part is, if you don't want to use your own drawings, the back of the book is filled with geninne's original drawings.
one lucky person will get the book, a bookhou pouch, and a soft lino block and carving tool to get you started. if you don't win you'll still want to get yourself a copy - it is filled with wonderful projects and is a great addition to any studio.
I want to thank geninne and lark books for the lovely book.
have a great weekend friends! please leave a comment and good luck, I will announce a winner on monday. xxa

ReplyDeleteWhen I saw Geninne post about her book I felt so happy about her and so happy for all the artists and crafters who now have a gorgeous, inspiring, and informative book about stamping and printing. When I was a kid I never cared much for stamps... they were cheesy or really expensive and most of all, made by someone else- not me. When I learned as an adult that I could make my own stamps, with my drawings, my process, and my imagination at work, I fell in love. I use stamps in my art and crafting so much now and hope this book will inspire others to try it as well. I can't wait to read the book to get some insight on making, perhaps, some more detailed stamps, like that moth stamp Geninne just shared on her blog.
ReplyDeleteThis is just what I NEED!!! I have been looking into creating my own stamps and this would be PERFECT!!! Thank you for the generous giveaway!!! :)
