I was overwhelmed with all my sewing I had to do - so I took a break and made myself a smock apron with some lovely linen I havn't made anything from yet - I thought with leggings on underneath it could work as a dress. I like the idea of wearing a uniform to work - this might be a good one. I hope you had a good weekend thus far.

this is a pretty nice "dress"...it looks great with the leggings!
ReplyDeletelove this! I was thinking of the same thing - making a "uniform" for work - this works!
ReplyDeleteI want one! Such a pretty colored linen. Your should consider selling a few of these...I'd definitely sign up for one with one of your lovely screenprint designs.
ReplyDeleteUniforms are the best.
i would love one with big front pockets for gardening or gathering or just because I love pockets.
ReplyDeleteI've been looking for just this thing, in linen of course. This would be the perfect thing for the studio. I do hope you make some more for sale.
ReplyDeleteoh yes, i like margie's idea for pockets. it looks like a great utilitarian item that still has lots of style, and love the scarf too.
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful! Can I have one too :)
ReplyDeleteI love your style, Arounna, and this uniform of yours is right up my alley too. It looks comfy & simple & versatile. Everything that I love !
ReplyDeleteoxoxo
I've also been hankering after a daily uniform, and this would be perfect. Love it.
ReplyDeleteGreat! I agree with the front pockets... :-)
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful! How about selling your pattern?! Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI would love a pattern too! It's just perfect.
ReplyDeleteFirst thing I thought of is how lovely this is, but it does need pockets - otherwise it is perfect! A pocket with a flap might be great to put your phone in, and protect it from dust, debris, etc. while working in the studio
ReplyDeleteWhat a great dress Arounna!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed meeting you Saturday. Hope to see you in Ottawa some day...
I would like to make one of these - do you sell a pattern? It would be great for messy days in art class. (You never know what Grade Nines will get up to with a paintbrush.)
ReplyDeletesorry I don't
