I finally finished making the TOTE BAGS - I think I'm a bit crazy, but I decided last minute to do the spring one of a kind show. the people who run the show are so nice and I couldn't resist. I think there might also be a repeat of the furoshiki workshop I did as well. so I have about two months to make work for the show. I'm excited - it will be mostly accessories. tomorrow I am off to margie's house to attend a dyeing party and I will be bringing my organic cotton voile fabric for my new scarves. I am also bringing other fabric to experiment on. I promise there will be a lot of picture taking.

    Beautiful bags! Might you consider sharing where you get your straps from? Or do you cut them yourself? I have been looking for good quality thick pre-cut leather straps for a while.

    hi alison,
    I get my leather remnants from a friend who makes furniture and we cut them ourselves. we use a heavy piece of metal as our ruler and a very sharp rotary cutter.

    I love my tote bag so much (the one with triangles). Just got it last week and everything fits and it's lightweight and if my pens leak (they always do) no one will see!
