  18. I bought one of your little pouches (years ago) at the Japanese Paper Place when I lived in Toronto. I now live in Ohio and discovered your blog through Bloesem when a friend here showed me the little house print fabric cube that she ordered. Your new store is delightful as I was able to pop in over Christmas while visiting family. I love your blog, your store and your products.
They make me so proud to be Canadian (as well as a bit homesick). So great to be able to check your website and see your new things. The letterpress stuff is pure, simple, genius (actually it all is!) Thanks C

  23. What a beautiful giveaway.
A little bit about me :: today I am super tired, after a busy hectic week of running around and dropping people and picking them up, and appointments. Today is my daughter's birthday - three years old. I made cupcakes, with cream cheese icing coloured pink from raspberries.
I live in hot, humid Brisbane, Australia.
I've been reading your blog for a long long long time - can't even remember how I first found you. But I visit often, and always come away inspired by your shapes and lines and clear-ness.
I recently bought some fabric from Repeat - yet am still deciding what best to make with it! So delicious....

  25. hi.
i'm whitney. i live in portland, oregon, with my husband, our six month old daughter, and a black cat who i creepily named after zooey deschanel.
    i'm an amateur blogger.
i found you through another blog. (sorry, i don't know which one either...how annoying.) i've been following you for awhile now, and i find everything you create so refreshing. sometimes i wish i was good enough at creating things to sell them - but i will leave that up to people such as you.
    rightfully so.

  26. Hello.
My name is Katharina. I live in Lübeck, Germany. I have been following your blog/shop/kids site for around two or three years now. Among others you have been constant inspiration for beautiful art- and craftwork. Really, I can't imagine how different my life would be without the internet and its possibility to get to know alike-thinking-people from other parts of the world that one would never have met otherwise.
I share your interest in textiles as well as in typography/printing. When you recently wrote about how you feel that it is right to work and create with many materials as a creative person rather than become an expert in one discipline I felt surprisingly relieved. I tend to work on many things at a moment and try out different methods. But as I am not a full-time-artist but a medical student that likes to create in her freetime I often only finish an few pieces in one technique and than am carried away by new ideas to the next technique. And although I never realized it before I think I felt bad about not becoming really good in something after starting it. Well - thank you. I am thinking like you there.
Well, and one last thing: apart from the creative part I am also inspired by your stories about your family, your kids. I am thinking about how life might be with children and while I am sure that my happiness in life depends on a satisfying family situation I do fear that I might spend my whole time taking care of the kids, quitting my creative activites. This is why I love to hear about women who succeed in balancing this.

    : )
So, wether or not I am the lucky one to get those wonderful things: Thank you for running this blog. And good luck with everything.
    Greetings, Katharina

  32. It's so amazing to read about all of the people from all over the world who visit your blog. What a lovely thing that the internet breaks down barriers in that way. I am also from Brisbane, Australia like Ellie, but my husband and I are planning to move to Vancouver at the end of the year so hope to do a trip over to visit your shop in person on one of our breaks. I am a primary school art teacher and found your blog when looking through your amazing lessons at bloesem kids craft projects. I am inspired by your work and many other talented bloggers but also need to get off the internet sometimes and create more myself!
    Thankyou, Love, Sharolyn

  35. What a very international audience you have! It's great to see that. I'm in Lisbon, Portugal.
I'm a new mom (it's been a year, but it feels really new) to a baby who, for about a month, looked a lot like piper! She has since grown a very large head of coppery hair and now just looks like herself. I write, draw, and quilt, as much as she lets me.
I've been reading for long enough now that I don't remember how I got here, but I am glad I did.
