Dorie's workshop part two I had a wonderful time with Dorie and the other participants - the second day consisted of learning four new stitches and to complete the sewing of the cube - we were also fortunate because Dorie had brought some samples of her work (middle image)- it's always better to see the work in person. Her attention to detailed stitching is amazing. After we finished our samples and assembled the cube I proceeded on my own piece - even though it looks like a flower it will be a pod like shape. I will show you it later when it's done. Thank you Dorie for a great and informative two days.

  2. Wow. Her work is incredible. I was just at Lacis in Berkeley and saw how bobbin lace was made. Needlepoint lace looks like a completely different, painstakingly intricate, animal.
