I received the best fibre award at last years
Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition and this thursday will be the opening reception at the First Canadian Place Gallery. Above is a recent piece that I made for the show. The technique is knotting stitches that I learned from fibre artist
Deirdre Nelson when she came as a visiting artist at
Harbourfront Centre. There was a great write up on her a few months ago in
Selvedge Magazine.
