I was asked to make a zip tote with all waxed canvas, and now thinking about making a small run of the zip tote with just waxed canvas, I might make it with two parts with a seam mark at the top.

Oh what a great idea! Is the waxed canvas waterproof? If so, I would definitely be interested in ordering one. (I bike eveywhere, so my tote bag has to be able to deal with heavy rain without the inside getting wet)

the waxed canvas is water resistant and easy to wipe clean, but I don't think it will withstand heavy rain.

Thank you for the info - the matte grey canvas does look fantastic, particularly with the leather straps, the black zipper and the cream-colored lining. :o)
