it's always sad when you find a fabric you absolutely love and it's all gone and you can't get it anymore - I came across these photos of this woven wool fabric I once had and was reminded of how beautiful it was. I had made scarves from them and they had quickly sold. I was playing around with fabric scraps and made this one off bag for myself.

i adore the twisted handle and lil p is looking so small and adorable in this photograph
ReplyDeleteLittle Piper looks so serious (or sleepy?) in this photo! You can see the beginning of all of the lovely curls she has now.
ReplyDeleteI really like the contrast between the tissues of the bag!
ReplyDeleteLove the bag and i'm delighted that you are keeping it for yourself! (but who wouldn't love it).
ReplyDeleteThat woven wool is gorgeous - the colours. I hope some equally gorgeous fabric fall onto your lap soon.
so lovely, all of it, the bag, the scarf and piper. ps that woven material wouldn't be hard to weave :) (like you need more to do?)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful fabric! Perhaps someone out there will recognize it and send you some! I had a stunning indigo linen that I had bleached irregularly so well and never was able to find again. I have a 2' patch of it left and I cherish it.
ReplyDeleteLove that fabric. I have the same sad feeling when I yarn I love is discontinued.
ReplyDeletePiper is so wee in this photo. Adorable.
i really like the thick twist of the handle and deep brown base of that bag. great gift for yourself.
