I was invited to the japanese paper place for a talk and workshop that took place night on all things washi. I had such a great time seeing all of the different interpretations and uses of japanese paper and meeting other artists and shop owners. the bookhou shop is taking part in an event called living with washi in june. I am going to be making products from paper that I can't wait to show you. the image above is my paper pod pieces made from gampi that is in the jpp's paper art collection.

I would love to visit the Japanese Paper Place as I use Japanese paper a lot in my art. Your pieces with gampi are very delicate and looking forward to seeing your new work with Japanese paper.

Love the images! I have piles and piles of gampi in my studio that I've been eager to use. All inspired by Kiki Smith's gampi artwork.
