I try to end the year with a general round up of how it went and what I look forward to in the New Year. This year has been a bit of a whirlwind and we all survived it-literally. The year began with the birth of our sweet Piper on a really stormy and snowy day. I remember looking out the window and not seeing much but pure white. A contrast to days today that are cold and grey. This year I would officially say is the first year of our brick and mortar shop and it proved that it was a great decision for all of us. Of course I can't fail to mention in May it was especially hard for all of us when john fell ill and his circumstances were unsure and it was touch and go each day he lay in the hospital unconscious. I learned this year that my friends that I thought were special truly are - I learned that family is very important and that no matter what - they are the strength that holds us all together - I learned that there are amazing people out there - I learned that working all day is sometimes not the best and that taking a walk with the kids to the park is the rejuvination we all needed. I learned that I am very fortunate that I can wake up each day with my family and make and do what I truly enjoy and that we here at bookhou are honestly grateful to all of you who support our work, reading this blog, taking workshops, coming in to the shop to say "hi" and visiting us at craft shows. I wish you and yours a very Happy New Year and may this next year be wonderful and prosperous to you.
